I was very happy to have a bed for Christmas for my little one as a gift, but sadly it had a horrible smell. I researched and found that it was formaldehyde. It gave me the worst headache assembling it. It is toxic and takes two years to dissipate. My in-laws have to return it and pay which I believe is not fair and the box was damaged, so we have to find a new one. Very disappointing. I do not want any off gassing inhaled by me or anyone else, especially my little one. This was learning experience for us, but I am wishing for a full refund on it all!
